In the 60's BMW turned it misfortune around by focusing in on sports sedans and compact touring cars. On July 15, 1960 the 20,000th BMW 700 leaves the factory. In 1961 BMW produced their first sporty family sedan, the 1500. In 1965 BMW steps out of the airplane engine market when they sell their engine plant in Allach, which was founded in 1955. In 1966 they produced a two-door version of the 1600, which would later become the basis of the 3-series. In 1967 the BMW 1600 convertible is produced in limited numbers and quickly becomes a collector's item. In 1968 BMW manufactures the 90-hp BMW 1800, which has rustproof stainless steel hubcaps and reinforced step plates. In 1969 Motorcycle production ceases in Munich: BMW relocates its facilities to Plant No. 3 in Berlin-Spandau. The 5 Series introduces basic new design concepts for motorcycles

Tehnilise info jätkuks võin niipalju öelda et sellise kaardi lugemine tegi tuju heaks ja südame soojaks.
